  PETITION

call for transparency call for accountability

- path forward -

While filling Christine Moore’s shoes won’t be easy, I am both humbled and honoured to step forward with the same deep sense of commitment she has shown throughout her years of service. Christine has been a steadfast voice for Division 6—transparent, principled, and unwavering in her dedication to our community. Her leadership has set a high bar, and I intend to meet it with the same valor, integrity, and resolve.

Christine and I are strongly aligned in our belief that public service means listening first, acting with transparency, and always placing the interests of our community at the heart of every decision. I’ve long admired her ability to navigate challenges with grace and grit, and her passion for advocating for what’s right—not what’s easy. That same spirit fuels my own desire to serve. I’m not here to reinvent the wheel—I’m here to keep it turning smoothly, efficiently, and with your priorities in mind.

Like Christine, I believe that local government should be accessible, responsive, and deeply rooted in the values that make Red Deer County such a special place to live. If elected, I will champion open and respectful dialogue, clear and consistent communication, and thoughtful decisions that reflect our shared rural priorities. I will advocate for responsible development, support our agricultural heritage, and work to preserve the open spaces and rural character that define Division 6.

This campaign isn’t just about me—it’s about continuing the legacy of trust, connection, and leadership that Christine exemplified. It’s about honouring the relationships she built and the trust she earned, and moving forward with that same spirit of unity and respect. I will work tirelessly to ensure every resident in Division 6 feels heard, respected, and truly represented.

Let’s keep building on the strong foundation we already have. Together, we can shape a future where your voice guides our path forward—openly, honestly, and with purpose.

💻 Broadband in Red Deer County: Residents Deserve Better

The County’s broadband project is completely over budget — and to make matters worse, residents like us were never properly consulted. Decisions are being made behind closed doors, with the AGM shut off from the very people footing the bill. That’s simply not right.

If elected as your councillor for Division 6, I will fight for:

✅ Full transparency in how your tax dollars are being spent.
✅ Resident involvement in broadband planning and oversight.
✅ A commitment to ensuring rural communities are not left behind while costs spiral out of control.

Our residents deserve more than closed doors and broken budgets — we deserve accountability. I will make sure the voices of Division 6 continue to be heard loud and clear in council chambers.

🌾 Protecting What Matters Most in Division 6

Our farmers and ranchers are the backbone of Division 6. They work hard every day to feed our families, drive our economy, and preserve the rural character that makes our community so special.

As your next councillor, I will stand strong to support and protect the interests of our farmers while working to preserve our rural way of life. That means making fair decisions at council, ensuring agriculture remains a priority, and keeping Division 6 a place where farming families can thrive for generations to come.

This is not just about policy — it’s about protecting the values and traditions that define who we are.

Together, we can keep Division 6 strong, resilient, and rooted in the land we love.

🔎 Continuing Transparency for Division 6

Our current councillor Christine Moore has done an amazing job championing transparency and keeping residents informed. This said, Red Deer County Council continues to make too many decisions in secrecy, behind closed doors, without involving the people who are directly impacted.

If elected, I will work hard and continue to call for a higher standard of openness and accountability that Division 6 residents already expect and deserve. I will ensure your voices are heard in council chambers, push for more public consultation, and stand firmly against unnecessary closed-door decision making.

Division 6 has led the way in transparency — and with your support, I will make sure that leadership continues to happen.

🚨 Standing Strong on Rural Crime

As someone who has served on the executive board of Rural Crime Watch, I’ve had a unique, bird’s-eye view of the challenges our rural communities face when it comes to crime and safety. I know firsthand how deeply these issues affect everyone — from farmers and ranchers to families and businesses. No one is untouched when crime threatens our sense of security.

If elected, I will continue to be a strong advocate for Rural Crime Watch groups and resident-led initiatives. I believe the best solutions come when we work together — neighbours looking out for one another, supported by a council that prioritizes safety and invests in collaboration with residents.

For Division 6, I will ensure that rural crime prevention remains at the forefront of County Council’s priorities. Because a safe community is the foundation of a strong community.

🌿 Protecting Division 6’s Natural Areas

Our natural areas — the rivers, trails, and landscapes that define Division 6 — are a vital part of our community and way of life. Recently, proposals for new walking paths in our area raised real concerns. While recreation and access are important, residents deserve a clear consultation before changes are made that impact the spaces we cherish.

If elected, I will ensure that public and resident consultation is continued to always be at the forefront of decisions affecting our natural areas. Protecting and conserving these lands isn’t just about today — it’s about ensuring future generations can enjoy the same beauty, freedom, and connection to nature that we value so deeply.

Ratepayers in our community deserve to continue to be heard, respected, and included in shaping how our community grows while protecting what makes it special.

💰 Responsible Leadership for Division 6

Red Deer County residents deserve a continued strong voice when it comes to how our tax dollars are being spent. The recent forensic audit has shown what many of us already feared — there has not been enough transparency or accountability in council’s financial decisions. Add to this the reality of a deficit budget, and it’s clear: this is not where we deserve to be.

That’s why I’ve already taken action by initiating a county-wide petition calling for greater transparency. I believe residents must be part of the conversation, and this petition highlights my commitment to ensuring your voices are heard and respected.

If elected, I will continue to champion responsible, transparent spending, asking the tough questions, demanding clear answers, and making sure council is accountable to the people footing the bill. Division representatives need strong voices to get us out of this mess — and I’m more than capable and ready to be that voice.

🌾 A Strong Voice for Division 6

For nearly 13 years, I’ve lived, worked, and built my life here in Division 6.

I know firsthand the challenges our residents face — from rural crime and transparency in council, to protecting our farmers, conserving our natural areas, and ensuring fair, responsible spending of county funds. These aren’t distant issues to me — they are the realities I share with my neighbours every day.

I’ve already shown my commitment by taking action, from serving on the Rural Crime Watch executive board to launching a county-wide petition for transparency. My track record proves I don’t just talk about change — I make it happen.

Division 6 deserves a councillor who is rooted in the community, understands its unique needs, and will stand strong to protect its future. With your support, I will continue to advocate for open, accountable leadership and ensure that the voices of Division 6 are always heard at the council table.

Together, we can build a stronger, more transparent Red Deer County.
